Activities

Upcoming trips : AGU down the road in Washington, DC! I am involved in 9 abstracts, five of which are lead by UMD students!

SCEC Annual Meeting (Palm Spring, CA). I gave an invited presentation at the Community Rheology Meeting and presented a poster at the general meeting introducint RHEOL_GUI to the community. Great collaborations ahead!

CIDER. I participated to the 2018 CIDER summer program and got involved in a project addressing the stability of a dense layer at the base of the mantle that is enriched in Heat-Producing Elements. CIDER always provides a great opportunity to do interdisciplinary science and mean new people!

Summer trips: Over the summer I also traveled to the Jet Propulsion Lab and to ETH Zürich to visit collaborators Sam Howell, Bob Papallardo and Taras Gerya. Along the way I gave a talk at Professor François Renard writing retreat and chaired a session at the 50 years of Plate Tectonics: Then, Now, and Beyond symposium at the College de France in Paris.
