Kristel Izquierdo succesfully defended her thesis proposals. Congratulations!
Geoun Ha and James Bader joined our group. They are co-supervised by Professors Laurent Montesi and Wenlu Zhu.
Welcome to undergraduate students Alyssa Mills, Cristy Ho, and Billy Leete. They are working in our lab for their senior thesis (Alyssa) or as research assistants (Cristy and Billy)

Our group is planning to present 8 abstracts at the 2018 Fall AGU meeting, with all Laurent, Joe, Goeun, Kristel, Alyssa, and Cristy all presenting! Details on scheduling and abstracts are available at the Fall Meeting Program website.
Joe is co-organizer of a session at the 2018 Fall AGU meeting.
Laurent was invited to give a presentation at the SCEC Community Rheology Model workshop in Palm Spring, CA. He will also attend the SCEC Annual Meeting where he will present work done by Billy Leete and him: the development of a graphical user interface to calculate strength envelopes, RHEOL_GUI.
Laurent, Kristel, and Joe attended the Summer 2018 CIDER program
