Comments: When Mickey and Carol Savkovich married, they wanted their wedding to be in the DC area so their friends could attend. Carol's mother, however, insisted that the wedding be in Louisville, their home. The compromise that they struck was that Carol's folks would pay to rent vans in which we could drive ourselves to KY. Our van load of wedding pilgrims stopped here on the way back from the wedding for the vista of the gorge and the New River Bridge (see buildings and architecture).
