Comments: I snapped this at the strangest theatrical presentation that either Betty or I ever witnessed: the"Mermaid" performance at the Submarine Theatre of Aquarina Springs. The Submarine Theatre was a set of bleachers enclosed in a fiberglass box, with panes of plexigrlass on one side. This contraption was lowered into the crystal clear water of the San Marcos River where we watched a performance of young women dressed up as mermaids. They were actually quite skillful. At one point, one woman, "ate lunch" under the water. This, of course, drew a cloud of fish that followed her around. This bluegill was one of the volunteers.
